Installing New Door Glass In A 2000 Silverado 2500

My truck's been vandalized and I have to replace door glass on both passenger and drivers sides, Before I spend a day in the shop fighting with it, I thought I would ask here, gather some wisdom from someone who has done, maybe save myself some hours of frustration.

2 issues:

1) Both regulators are at the top and seem to be binding now that the glass is broken, they won't go down They still tries, it moves about a quarter inch and stops could just be broken glass jamed in there ) So right off the bat, do I try to solve this issue, or do I need to pull the regulators out to install the window anyway?

2) how does the glass go in? I'm guessing from the top, there doesn't appear to be enough room to feed it up from the bottom.

Thanks in advance.

I've only done it in a manual window truck, so I don't know about the regulators. I'd take it apart, clean it out, and give it a shot again.

And yeah, the window goes in from the top, outside the door. It doesn't seem like it'll go (be careful not to scratch the paint on the lower part of the (vertical) sill when you're trying to get it in there...It requires the moon to be a waxing gibbous, you have to hold your mouth just right, and make sure to have both socks pulled to the same level...But once all that happens, it'll drop right in :nonod:

Oh, and generally speaking, there are access holes for every single bolt you'll need access to for this job.
