changed both diff fluids today

i found time today and finally changed the fluid in both diffs, oil change and fuel filter change. it was very easy especially the diffs which were easier than the oil change. i had trouble getting the sqeeze bottle positioned right with the front but the rear was too easy. the fuel filter was a pita. i pulled the fuel pump relay, and ran the truck until it shut down, i then cranked it a few more times. i though this would releive the pressure. i think it did a little but i still got some spray, and then there was still a considerable amount to fuel in the filter itself. the plastic fuel filter holder didnt help too much either. i had to loosen the holder and it was a pain getting the filter out, i didnt want to bend the fuel lined but with a little fuel running down my arms i finally did it!

Ended up with a little fuel sprayed in the face when I tried it.  I also had 1 end of the filter which didn't want to loosen up, so I ended up having the dealer take care of it.  We'll see about the next time, I still have a filter.

Did an oil change, transaxle fluid change, fuel filter change, pcv valve change and diff axle -front and rear- change. I opened up the gas tank cover, took out the fuel pump relay from the fuse box and put rags around the end of the hoses. Used two wrenches for leverage on the fuel filter ends. Leaked a little but manageable.

I used the GM synthetic on the rear axle and regular differential 9non synthetic) on the front axle, Used GM transaxle fluid. Put teflon tape on the aluminum bolts. May have to replace those next time.
