Sure would be nice if GM would fix this switch once and for all. I just bought my 4th switch for my 2003 3/4 Suburban. These switches are total junk !!!!!! My original factory switch lasted less than one year after I purchased the vehicle new. The third switch that went out caused over $ 1500 damage to my 4WD transfer case. I have the repair bill from my local GM stealership to prove it. They said, "Sorry, we know the switches are garbage, we cannot even keep then in stock due to them failing." NICE going GM !!! Guess I'll order an extra switch this time so I have a spare....it's like carrying spares fuses with this junk switch !!! So that will put me right around $ 250 bucks in switches so far.....think I'll buy a Ford or Dodge in two years when the wifes car pays off....total BS GM !!!

My stock switch is still going strong in my 06 And it gets plenty of use here in buffalo ny..
