plug/wire combos

Just curious to see what kind of plugs and wires everyone is using.  I have 30k on the factory AC's and although they really don't need it, I was thinking of changing them and upgrading wires when I put on my FIPK.  Any suggestions?

just stay with ac's and either get a set of accel spiral core super stock wires (usually aroud 45 bucks,)or plop down the 90+ bucks  for the msd super conductor wire set.

I swapped out my plugs to NGK TR-55 plugs.  THey are a straight copper plug.  They seemed to have smooted out my idle.  I also believe a copper plug gives a better spark.  Platinum is only for longevity.  Also lost one of the platinum pucks from the tip of the electrode.  Don't want to know what happened to it.

I got my MSD Superconductors online for like 58 bucks shipped. I also got some splitfire plugs from a local parts place and the truck feels real nice.

Alot smoother. Im guessing it was the wires more than the plugs because my plugs still looked good at 70k.

I haven't changed my plugs, only have 10000 on them, but I just switched out my wires to the MSD 8.5mm Superconductors and so far I am impressed.  Truck seems to run a little smoother, acceleration is smoother, and seems like I get to 90 on the highway a little easier too.  I recommend them. :thumb:

I too would recommend NGK TR-55's and MSD 8.5 wires.

 

 

I'm still stock on the 4500 mile '02, but that's what I had on the '99.
