Do the stock radios come with the XM capabilities and all I have to do is call XM to get hooked up? Or do I have to add a module of some description? I had a portable XM unit but dont want the hassle of wires all over the dash!

Not all stock radios have XM. My nnbs Sierra doesn't have it and the dealer wanted $400 for module, new antenna and labor. i have the Onyx bolted in one on the little cubby holes on the dash and you can't even see the wires. I'll try to get you a pic this evening.

You can try hitting your band switch and see if it will switch to XM. Even without an XM subscription there is a channel or two for info, etc. IIRC, tuning to channel 0 shows the radio ID for XM?
