Some disturbing news...

On Tuesday there was a kid in our neighborhood who was stabbed at school.  One kid had a kitchen knife and stabbed another boy in the chest/stomach area.  Not really sure exactly where, but we've heard the boy had a punctured lung and damaged liver.  Some people that witnessed it say the boy who had the knife said "I'm going to kill you!" when he stabbed the other boy.  The boy who was stabbed, said he didn't even know the other boy.  And to top it all off, this is a 4th and 5th grade school!!  The school my son will be going to next year.

It makes you wonder about why that boy stabbed the other.  What was he thinking?  Was he mad, depressed, thought he was just playing around, etc.  I don't know any background on the boy, so I have no clue about a reason.

If you have kids, or when you do, show them that you love them and they are someone special.  God forbid it would ever happen, but it could prevent them getting involved in something like this.  Plus, you never know when it could happen to them.

BTW, the boy who was stabbed got to come home from the hospital today and is doing good.   :P

That is disturbing, but I can't say that it surprises me.......

Wasn't it just 2 or 3 years ago we were afraid to send our children to school cause of all those shootings going on?

Actually, I have some horror stories from the elementary school I went to. (which I won't tell here.....too vulgar)

Tom, I hope your son goes through that school ok.

I also hope the same thing for all you guys with school-age children.

This sucks.  That is horrible.  I hope the boy is OK.  And I hope the other boy gets help too, he obviously needs something.  I really hate to hear this, especially since my fiancee and I are both going to be teachers.

Tom, tell J.T. Becky and I love him.

Its a shame that the parents have to worry about a lot more when there kids go off to school and espeically in the 4/5 grade?!?!?!

Middle School/Junior High, we have both.  It depends on the county, but they're moving towards middle schools state wide, and making all the high schools 9-12, instead of some 10-12 and some 9-12.

I'll be in a junior high/ middle school or a high school.

It's always a shame to hear about that kind of stuff.  I've got a little sister in grade school and you used to think that children were safe in school.

Make sure you give our deepest sympathy and regards for a speedy recovery from all the guys at gm-trucks.com
