Rear View Mirror Is Loose

My Rear view mirror (on the windshield) is loose and I am wondering how to tighten it.  Is there a set screw under the plastic cover?  If so, how do I remove the plastic cover with out breaking it?

I haven't looked at the truck mirrors for this reason, but most vehicles have a set screw in there that should take up the slack.  

 

I assume you're talking about the mirror being too shakey at the windshield, and not the actual mirror glass housing?

It's loose where it mounts to the windshield.

I haven't checked mine, but older vehicles did use a set screw to snug the mirror bracket to the windshield mount like BlueRado mentioned.  I don't know if they changed this on the newer mirrors or not...
