Looking For Extended Warranty Information

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a 2008 Avalanche with 36,930 miles and I have a 5 yr 100,000 mile power train warranty but my bumper to bumper just ran out and I would like to have another bumper to bumper waranty for at least the 100,000 miles but I am finding that for the most part, the warranties that say bumper to bumper are not because they do not cover a bunch of items, also the reviews on some of these warranties are nasty. Can anyone help me or steer me in the right direction for a extended warranty?

Thank You

Do a search for "GM extended warranty" on Google. What you're after is a genuine GMPP plan, not a third party plan.

Since your over the 36k miles you cannot get a GMPP plan.

BUT...............These guys sell them by mail and they actually don't

even SEE your truck in person.........You could fudge your mileage a bit

and possibly buy one (if you get my meaning) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys have the best GMPP prices on the net BTW!

Warning........Don't bother with the aftermarket warranties !

Another vote for GM Outlet I priced the GMPP with them on my 04 Silverado and they were much less than anywhere else I found. Plus if you aren't in Pennsylvania you do not pay tax on the plan. Also I'd stick with the official GMPP. You will not have any hassle with claims or if you cancel out early and ask for a partial refund.

That's who I got mine through and even a $100 discount tacked on for purchasing at Christmas.
