Need help deciding what size to go with.Love the zeons, pictures dont do them justice.

I was origanaly thinking 18s but after reading on here i know im going to wish i went with 20s.right now im running the stock 265/65/18 bridgestone, they gotta go!

The trucks not level now 1.5 in. rake that i hate so level the front to make more clearance for the 305 55 20 and trimming plastic only i hope???

Or just run the 305 50 20 and lower the back down

Im just looking for it to look proportionate lift to tire size

wheels im looking to run 20x9 +12

I saw the 305 50 20 on a f150 and i thought they were waaay bigger,i was floored that they were the 305 50s.

Just want to do it right the first time.

knowing that the 305 55s are a load E .would that ride like crap??and the 305 50s are a xl .

thanks Chris

If your truck is leveled only and you want to use a 20x9 wheel and a 305/55/20 tire I would think you would rub. I am not sure but you may clear a 305/50/20 it will depend on the backspacing of the wheel also.

I see in the title you are thinking of a BDS lift if so you will not have trouble clearing a 305/55/20 especially a Copper Zeon LTZ tire. The MT tires have aggressive sidewall tread that adds to clearance issues while the AT tires dont have that. I played around with different combinations on my 4" BDS. I have friends with different trucks so it was easy to swap wheels around. I have a friend with 305 BFG AT's and they fit with more clearance on my truck than my Nitto 295/55/20s do and they are actually on the same wheels so that was not a factor.

I am not sure if I would recomend 20" wheels or not though. I often wish I had 18s. The price of tires is way better and if you take your truck off road at all I think they are a little better to air down. If you do not go off road and you are fine with the extra tire price get the 20s.

305/55's will not fit with a leveling kit without cutting metal. Even then you won't solve all of the rubbing. I would run the 305/55's with the BDS kit, so just wait until you can do it all.

I would advise the same, wait and do all of it together. I know its not easy but I went from leveling kit with tires to a lift with new tires. It would have been much more economical to just do the lift and the larger tires all at one time.

Im running the bds 4in now.running the stock wheels with it.

It has 41.25 front and 42.5 rear fender measurements with the stockers.

I really would like it level,I know with the 4in. kit vs the 6in. the only difference is the struts and rear blocks, shocks

right now my angles are all flat.so i would think adding a 1in level no problem.

really just want to know am i better leveling the front and run the 305 55 20

vs 1in smaller block in back for it to be level, then run 305 50

with my fender heights now would they look to small?

only reason i would want to run the smaller is for the lighter weight,XL vs 305 55 which in the zeons is an E load

only thing coopers site does not show is the weight

or is that not much diff. in the to tire weights?

5.3 6sp 3.42

I would think adding a 1" level to your kit wouldnt hurt anything. As you said the angles are all flat on this kit. I have a 2.25" leveling kit that I took off and thought it could be added back. I would advise against the 305/50/20 with the kit we have. The fenders on our trucks really make it so you have clearance trouble but its at the bottom. If you have a smaller (shorter) tire it would look like the fender area is that much larger. You will not have trouble clearing a 305/55/20 on that kit at all. I called BDS and spoke to them at length before I added it. If you keep the stock wheels its possible they could rub I am not sure what the backspace on them is.

The weight of the 305/50 vs 305/55 from Cooper should be minimal. I would figure 5-6lbs per tire.

Did you look at the 295/60/20.. i think that wouldlook the best.

IF you have the BDS 4" already on you would be close with the 305/55/20s.. I would definitely recommend doing an 1 or 1.5" upper strut spacer. IT will give you the same angles as the BDS 6" high clearance so you will be fine, and you will clear the 305/55/20s no sweat.

I wouldnt go with the 295/60's because they are skinnier, you already have the lift, get the wider tires... a wider tire looks much more aggressive than a taller one.

You are right however about running the E range tire as they are much heavier, but with the 3.42 6-speed tranny it will handle it just fine. I ran the 305/55/20's with the 4-speed tranny for about 50k and they were fine.

Thanks guys, i think i will add a 1in on top of the 4in and run the 305 55s

i cant wait, after seeing the coopers in person i was drooling.

now i have to choose rims, just seems hard to choose without seeing them in person

i think i have it narrowed down to two, blackrhino sidewinders or the monsters

on my last truck a gmt400 scsb I lifted 4in. susp. with rims and tires at the same time

had to do that as the stockers wouldn't fit with the lift

next time definitly going to do both lift and rims, tires

it is nice being able to run the stockers thought for winter use

The Monsters are really nice wheels. I have a friend that has them. I didnt like them when I was shopping and only seeing them in pics online. In person I really like them.

Just food for thought, but I would recommend staying away from the monsters and any XD wheels really as they are very popular and "played out" to put it plainly. Having KMC rocksters I am guilty myself, and it does suck when u see a bunch of other trucks with your wheels..
