2008 Sierra Windshield Wipers

Like the title says, the intermittent wiper settings on my '08 Sierra have quit working. When you turn the wipers on one click, the wipers swipe once and then stop. When you move to the second click, same story...one swipe and then nothing. The wipers work fine on the continuous low and high settings. I've checked the fuse for the wipers and it looks fine. Any idea what could be wrong? I'm past the bumper to bumper warranty so I would like to fix it myself if possible. Thanks in advance!
