Any luck? My back up lights come on the same time i hit the brakes. Gm blames it on my aftermarket remote start. They blame it on GM. Im in the middle with noone that will fix it without charging me a bundle! I took out the back up fuse for now, but it sucks when i need to back up and noone can tell.

no luck so far, that kinda does sound like the remote start may have done that since they are separate circuits? but who knows with the courtesy lights tied into them

anyone know where the actual reverse light switch is ill check it out with the old test light maybe just replace it

Nyokie, The backup lamps are controlled by the neutral safety switch. It should be bolted to the side of the trans.

The back up lights are controlled by the BCM on your 07 GMC. Have is scanned for codes. If no codes-check BU relay in fuse box under hood. If relay OK-check relay circuit for short to power. If that's OK-you could have a bad BCM. Might want to have it checked at a shop if you're not able to do this.
