jarettg Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 hey everyone, my current set up is the RC 2" front levelling kit and 3" readylift rear blocks on a crew cab 1500 all terrain. i am considering either the 1.5" or 3" zone body lift or the 1.25" RC body lift. i have contacted both readylift and zone, readylift suggests getting the shock extender piece and zone stated that i wont be lifting the suspension, only the body. i want to lift the truck, but i do not want to replace the rear rancho factory shocks as they only have 52,000 km on them. i will also be replacing the stock duelers with some BFG A/T's and am looking at going with the biggest tire i can run, at the point is 33". i would be going with the 285/65R18's. would i be able to fit a bigger tire? does anyone have any input? it's greatly appreciated.
SouthCo Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I have the same rc 2" front and rear readylift 3" blocks. That setup doesn't require shock extenders or longer shocks on the rear. If you are taling about adding a body lift to that, that definitely doesn't require shock extenders or longer shocks.
Big Whiskey Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 A body lift will not require modification of the shocks. For tires, 33's are about the limit. If you went with the 3" body lift, then you could go to a 295 tire, which is closer to a 34"
