Gmt-900 Brake Pad Question

I have a friend who has an '09 Extended Cab Z-71. He needs new brake pads and wants the NAPA Adaptive 1 pads because of all the positive reviews.

 

However, NAPA does not show them for the '09 only for '07 and '08.

 

Were there any changes to the brakes for an '09 or will he be able to use the pads from an '07 or '08?

When I buy parts for my truck (its an 07) I sometimes say its an 08, its just easier, because 07 was a half-year with classic/new-style. But when I went to get brake pads from NAPA they asked me about some tabs or something (shims maybe?), they had 2 different styles/construction or whatever, anyways I came clean about it being 07 and they only had one style for that year NEW-STYLE BODY (but they had a choice on different material pads)

 

Long story short, I think GM did something halfway through 08, thats just my guess.

For the 1500's that is.

They are the same, NAPA may just not have updated the catalog yet.
