My Latest Truck

This is the truck I won in a sealed bid municipal auction. She's a 1999 with a 6.5 turbo diesel and 79,000 miles on the clock. I won it with a $1,200.00 bid. I just got it back from the shop where I had the sub-frame rails replaced, the dump body relined, main fuel tank and straps replaced, front brake pads replaced and an idler arm. After completing the work the shop had the DOT inspection done. The whole job cost me 2 grand. I put a couple of new batteries in it when I got it. I sold off my non running 1984 GMC dump for $800.00. The net cost of the new truck to me $2,600.00. I plan to sand and paint the frame and dump body as well as touch up the cab for now. Eventually I will paint the whole cab. For now she's ready to work and I am a happy camper.
