2007 Yukon Xl - Door Bumper Strips

I have a new (to me) 07 Yukon XL. Love the truck - such a change from my previous 2000 Suburban.

One issue I'm having is the door bumper strip on the drivers side rear door is starting to curl up and pull away from the door skin at one end. I've heard this is a common issue - tried to search it but came up with nothing.

Can anybody shed some light on this and what is the best way to remove the bumper from the door - do you heat it up with a hair dryer. It seems to be attached with a 3M double sided tape.

Any help would be appreciated.
