Where To Buy Window Regulator

Recommended Posts

1999 Sierra nbs, passenger side window stopped working. I replaced the reguator and motor over 5 years ago and it has died again. However, once I removed the motor and brackets I noticed that the front plastic clip that slides along the rail and holds the window broke. The cable pulled through the plastic causing it to split. I tried several parts stores and dealers but am unable to purches the plastic piece that has the clamp that secures the window to the rail. Does anyone know where I can purchase this or where I can find a descent replacement window regulator at a reasonable price?

Also, is it recommended to lubricate the rails. Both the driver's and passenger side windows seem to operate slowly.

Thanks.

Not sure if it would be worth it to just try replacing that plastic part. I know I had a couple issues with the window units in my 2000. Last time I bought the whole unit at Auto Zone since they have (or had) a lifetime warranty.

Not sure what the warranty may be of the places that Ryan posted, but tif you plan on keeping the truck for a while, get the best warranty you can find.

Good luck!

Chris
