Back To Gm, And Things I've Already Learned Here .....

I've had nine or so GMT400/800 trucks over the years up to 2001, then starting in 2005 went through a half dozen Fords and Dodges, both gas and diesel. I buy a lot of new trucks, my wife or I drive them for a year or so and then pass them down into my small fleet.

Just last March I sold my last Dodge and bought a leftover 2010 GMC 2500HD for almost 20k off MSRP. It's a 6.0 gas, until the makers sort through the DPF/DEF fiasco I won't be burning oil again.

Been lurking on this site to catch up on the GMT900's and have learnt a lot to thank you all for, like;

-the 6L90 drives and tows a lot nicer than the 4L80, but 6000 lb HD trucks still get 12-14 mpg, VVT and six-speeds can only do so much.

-you really do have to remove the whole door panel to swap mirrors

-the GMC box really is different than a Chevy (you can see the diff in my pic, that is a Chev canopy but I'm a cheap-ass and got it for $500)

-how to disable the parking assist (why the hell doesn't it disable itself when a trailer connector is plugged in?)

-and a bunch more stuff I can't think of

Welcome to the site Raul! Sounds like a sweet deal keeping the trucks for only a year :)
