Front Bowtie Painting

Recommended Posts

Posted

I want to remove my front bowtie for painting. Looking at it, it wasn't immediately obvious how to get the thing off. Is there screws in the back? Do I have to take whole grille off to get to it?

IIRC there are clips on either side on the back holding it on. Use a screwdriver to pry in towards the center of the bowtie and one side should come free, then do the same for the other side. Just be careful not to break the clips. :)

Yup, I used a mirror and a flashlight to see in there, found the clips and popped it off.
