496 SS Silverado

Has anybody seen the episode of Trucks Tv on TNN where Stacey test drove the 496 SS Silverado? What did you think of it?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I thought is was all right.  

 

It had a custom 496 V8(8.1 liter non-Vortec) along with features from a 69 Camaro, 70 Chevelle and an El Camino.

If I remember correctly, the 496SS started life as a 2500 series truck that he modified the frame to hold a 1500 bed.

 

He did some other mods, but I can't remember all of them.

That's the SS I'd want.  And it doesn't matter whether or not it's a Vortec headed motor, you've got limitless cubes to massage.  That thing would be a MONSTER!!!

Beautiful! According to some guys on the SilveradoSS forum, They suspect GM will be making a regular cab, Non AWD version of the new Silverado SS here in a few yrs or so... Ill try to find ya'll a good pic...
