2011 Sierra With 6.2l---service 4 Wheeld Drive System!

My truck has 6500 miles on it and I was using it to pull a stump over that I just attacked with the chainsaw..... I put it in 4wh low and then got a service 4 wheel drive system message on the dash..... Transfer case was in LOW but only the back tires were engaged. The light on the selector only flashes for all modes.... auto, 4 hi, 4 low... and the error message is displayed.

 

Its under warrantee, but I am curious why my 6500 mile truck already has an issue.... I am assuming its something in the front end and most likely electrical, but wanted to ask the experts. My HP tuners does not support the 2011 yet, so I have not tried to scan it.

 

Any ideas what this could be?

 

truck drives just fine in 2wd. Scheduled to go to the dealer on monday, but would prefer to be an informed customer.
