Replacing Center Console Lid?

Hey everybody,

 

First time posting on this site and just wanted to say that this is a great site with a wealth of information for our vehicles, so keep up the good work! However, I have been looking for quite a while now for an answer to my question and I can't seem to find it. I am not very tech savvy however, so sorry if the answer is obvious. Anyways, I have a 2010 Silverado 1500 LS Crew Cab. The center armrest/console I have is the one that has 2 cupholders and then just a large opening to put things. I want to change this one out for the other style that has a locking lid so that my stuff doesn't always go flying around while I'm driving. Does anyone have a part number for this or a website where I can get it from? Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is a thread on here giving step by step instructions on how to switch out the third seat/locking lid center piece you are talking about for the center console. If you do a search, you'll find that thread. Since you are switching the two in opposite order, following the steps in reverse should tell you what you need to know.
