I was in a accident in January and it broke the cd player in my 2007 Silverado 1500 vortec max. They have installed a brand new gm radio in my truck which works great except for one thing. The extremely loud chime, turn signal and volume on the truck. My wife claims she is going to go deaf it is so loud. If I move the volume 5 clicks up, which only shows about 15% in the bar, my bose stereo system in full blast. How can I fix this? Is there someway I can get into the radio and program or fix this? Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Check the owners manual. I don't have the same truck or sound system, but I recall there was a way to adjust the volume of the chimes by pressing the buttons on the radio in a certain sequence. If I recall, there were two volumes annoying and really annoying.

The radio neads to be programmed to the vehicle. Take it to the dealer for programming. If this was from an accident the insurance should pay for it.
