Xm Radio

I have a 2007 silverado 250HD. I want to add the XM system that will work thru the OEM radio just like factory installed. Can any one give me the options and parts that I need to find. And how to install. It appears the Radio is sat redy but I dont know for sure. I called chevy and they told me it does not have it installed and the local dealer says I have to pay to have service look at it and see what I need. However when I push a button on my radio it says only available for sat radio. any ideas or help would be great!

I just did this to my truck - also a '07 2500. The GM kit is very simple to add. I checked the part number through the GM accessory site and ordered through GMPartsDirect.com. It comes with a replacment dual purpose shark fin antenna to replace your OnStar antenna and a slick bracket which was designed to be installed before the truck is put together DAMHIK! Once installed it works like it came from the factory with it.

I have an 09 Silverado. The xm radio plays audio on channel 1 and displays the radio i.d. on 0. It plays radio perfectly during a free listening period. However, when I try to activate a subscription, it will not take the download. I took the radio to the dealer and they flashed it but it still didn't work. Any ideas?
