Denali Awd Vs 4wd

I'm looking for some opinions on the Denali AWD system vs standard 4WD. I like the truck but not so sure about the AWD.

All wheel drive is on all the time and no 4 lo, the 4 wheel drive is selectable.

I would want to be able to choose if it were I 4x4 or not. Also with 4x4 u have auto mode u can select. Your in 2wd until if feels a slip And kicks into 4x4.

The AWD is great. It's strong and works extremely well. However if you're building a truck to go offroad a lot with or want/use 4LO, then it's not for you.

 

The traction combined with the 6.2L and 6spd just makes the truck fun to drive. You can turn traction control off and slam the gas, and you're just going to take off like a rocket (instead of 2WD where you have to feather the gas to keep traction).

 

With that said there are 2 downfalls IMO:

1) Only comes with the 10bolt ... It really should come with the 14bolt (Note that the 2WD version comes with the 14bolt)

2) Only comes with the 3.42s (which are great BTW). But they should give us the option of the 3.73s so we can get the max tow rating.
