sierckdog Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I have a 1996 Oldsmobile Bravada. A few weeks ago my neighbor told me the saw lightning strike near my vehicle. The Bravada will not turn over now. Also, when I open the drivers side door or put the key into the ignition my dash lights and parking lights start flashing on their own. The door buzzer also starts going off by itself with no key in the ignition. I was told to replace the ECM, which I did, and that did not change anything. The Bravada ran fine pryor to this incident. Any help on how to fix my car would be great. I am capable of fixing most things on it and do not want to pay a towing company to haul it on a flatbed truck to a dealer unless I have to. Thanks in advance for any help to steer me in the right direction.
[email protected] Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 If you think it's computer related(lightning struck it), and not a wiring problem, I'd replace the bcm, pcm, and visually look at wires and fuses/relays.
sierckdog Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 Fuses and relays are alright and I have checked all the wires also. I will start replacing the other parts and see where that leads me. Thanks for the help. It is much appreciated.
