Can someone give some numbers on these motor's

Horsepower/torque, 0-60 times maybe.

Surely someone with this motor knows what its rated at.

HP is rated at 245 - 255 I believe, not sure on torque or times

 If I recall correctly, my 97 sub is rated at 255 hp and 330 ft lbs of torque.

What is different on the Vortec engines compared to the previous 5.7's??

Vortec engines have vortec heads and multi point fuel injection. The older ones pre 95 are TBI's Throttle Bodies with only 2 injectors and just regular heads. A 350 tbi is only rated at 210hp.

Thanks!  I knew the heads were different, but I didn't realize they went to multi port EFI.
