I recently purchased a set of Tailgate Cable Extension links made by Rider Tailgate Accessories after reading an article about them in ATV/UTV Illustrated. They make links for all current and some past GM truck models. They lower the tailgate between 3 and 5.3 inches depending on the model and cost only $19.95 for a set. The links not only decrease the steepness of loading ramps, but also allow for the loading of low ground clearance equipment like lawn tractors. Rider Tailgate Accessories
