'05 Suburban Hvac Issues

Been doing a lot of searching on the site, found a few fixes, still looking for a few more. I have a 05' Z71 suburban with the dual climate control. Recirc stopped working a few months ago, best guess from forums is a bad actuator, just need to figure out if it is visteon or delphi. From the catalog the part is labeled "Door actuator, all models, air inlet" I will verify with a dealer before ordering tho.

Now onto the problem I have not found an answer for. Starting today when I start the truck I get almost no A/C, after a few seconds then I hear a clunking like the actuator from under the passenger side dash, the blower kicks on, and the A/C starts working. So do you think it would be the dash control unit, or another actuator broken?

If you have the manual dual climate control, GM issued an extended warranty for 10 years 120K miles on some models. It covers electrical relays. You might want to check with the dealer to see if your system is covered. The TSB is 10240.

Seems it is likely the resistor is blown, the blower only works on 1 or 2 speeds now if at all, depends on what it was set too when the truck was turned off. Guess I'll call the delaer have them order an actuator, resistor and 4wd switch for me at the same time, since all 3 are bad....

Ok so I replaced the Recirc actuator, and the blower motor resistor. Both worked great for a few days. Now the recirc will not work again. The button lights up, but the door does not move. If I use the recalibrate process I see that door move as the control unit calibrates everything. But still will not move when recirc is pressed. I reset the conrtol unit by pulling he HVAC fuse for a minute, plugging it back in, waiting 5 min with the truck running while it calibrated, then tried the recirc.

Could it be a bad control unit, or is there something I am missing in the calibration?

Thanks
