I have no idea what to do!!! I have been thinking muffler delete but idk anymore. What do u guys recommend?? Im a young kid so noise is what im looking for but I dont want it to sound like crap I want a nice good deep tone that turns peoples head. I want it to sound good and loud without having to rap the piss out of it also.

Just whack a flowmaster 40 series on it and hope for the best maybe?

A 5.3 with no exhaust passed the cat sound pretty awesome tho so muffler delete could be good but annoying to drive on the highway

Hack out the stock muffler and weld in a muffler of your choice....There are a million brands, sizes, lengths, styles....just pick a style and try it out. You can always weld in a different one if you don't like it.

I would not run straight pipes, but that is just my opinion. I suggest a shorter aftermarket muffler maybe even a chambered setup.

My truck has about an 7in piece of pipe cut off infront of the muffler and dumped under the cab. If you can handle drone on highway then you will be fine. Its mean soundin and always turns heads when I'm drivin normal

I think im going to try the straight pipe first but i dont want to dump it out under the bed I want do use the stock exhaust out let has anyone done this? It looks to me that there would be a problem after you cut the muffler out getting the tailpipe and inlet side to line up so you could put a piece of tubbing in.

You will be able to do this, but you will have to probably go to a muffler shop and get a piece of pipe at whatever length you need it and the two ends bumped up to slide over the pipe from the cat and the tailpipe. Weld it in or clamp it and your good to go. I would recommend welding it if you can, clamps rust faster and the pipe will not last as long.

I ended up go with the flomaster 10 series with dual outlet. This thing sounds mean!!! Couldnt be happier nice deep aggressive sound, I would recommend it to anyone. Its really loud though so if your not looking for noise its not for u
