Kingpin Weight---clarification

I am looking to possibly purchase a 5'th wheel RV, and am curious about Kingpin weight. I don't want to exceed RV GVWR of ~9000lbs. That being said, my truck owners manual says 15-25% of trailer weight not to exceed 3000lbs. of Kingpin Weight.

 

So, Kingpin Weight of a 5th wheel tongue+Whatever I have in the truck and trailer = not to exceed 3000lbs. ?

3000#s is about all you can carry without exceeding your rear tire ratings. That would be pin wieght, and anything carried in the bed.
