I was looking around for a place to mount a switch for a roof light when I noticed this plug that's behind the little storage compartment under the radio Anybody know what its for? truck is a 2008 silverado Z71

honestly I don't know, but that is the area where the Traction Control button is, as well as power pedals and back up sensor on/off

Thats exactly what it is,for an option you don't have,for an '08 pickup that would either be for (as old chevy dude mentioned) Stabilitrak,power pedals,rear-park assist,or heated washer fluid.
