2005 Silverado Hvac Blower Motor Problems?

I received a letter from Chevy - seems the 2005 Silverado's with manual heater/AC had a problem with the blower motor circuitry over heading/burning in certain cases. The result is that the blower motor may not function on certain settings or may not function at all.

 

I've never had a problem with mine - but Chevy has extended the warranty coverage for this issue to 10 years from the original date of purchase or 150,000 miles, if it hasn't already been repaired.

 

If you have already had to have the blower motor and/or electrical circuits fixed - and you still have your original invoice - looks like you can file a claim and be reimbursed. Go see your local Chevy Dealers Service Dept.
