My seat heater switch goes onto high and low

So I get in the truck this morning (17 degrees out) and turn on the seat heater to "High" because semi-faux leather is friggin cold at first.

Anyway, a little while of driving and my a$$ felt like it was on fire which these seats have never been able to do (unlike my Aurora which would literally burn your cheeks if left on "High" too long).  So I look down at the switch and both the "High" and "Low" lights were on at the same time.   ???

I thought it was just a fluke, but it did it later again today.

Perhaps a new switch is needed.  :D

Should have went with the cloth.  Mine were toasty this am going to the grocery store  :D

Just wondering is your truck an LT model?

i knew i didnt want an LT when i took a grey Z71 for a test drive.  I am driving (middle of summer) and my butt is sweating.  Couldnt figure it out till i seen a light on and realized the heated seats were on.  Not a comfortable feeling hehe

I am a simple man, cloth manual seats

I dont even think they make the manual seats anymore  :D

There's plusses and minusses to both.  I've had them both in my trucks.  But I still prefer the leather as fake as it may be in our trucks (which kinda does piss me off).

One of the easy things that leather has over cloth is cleaning.  :D

I agree on the LT w/ leather as the only way to go.  We have an 18 mo old who isn't the cleanest eater and it wipes up easily off the back bench (at least on the 00 it was vinyl back seat, i asume same on 03 cc?).  The new truck has 3 settings and one for your back which is nice.

On the excab the rear seat is vinyl, but in the crewcab trucks its leather.

Yeah CMNT there is a little known heat mode there, called "hemorrhoid cauterizer"!  :D

Not implying anything there, BTW!!!

So that's why I haven't had any problems back there recently.  :D

I'd seriously question whether our fronts are really leather too!  The leather in the Tahoe was fantastic and the leather in the Aurora was nearly orgasmic to the touch, well not really, but I'm trying to illustrate it's softness and sumptiousness.

I know it's a real cheap grade, but even still.

Family member has an '02 LT and while the seats are OK, they certainly aren't up to the std of the luxury GMs even, let alone some of the European stuff!!

I might have gone for the LT had the budget allowed it.

Guess I'll just have to stick w/ the Preparation H.
