Alteration To Fit 275/60r20's

OK, I have searched lots and seen these fit with the 2" level... however... exactly HOW MUCH do they rub? Is there a little bit of trimming that can be done? I mean, the tires overal diameter only increases by 1" (or .5" all-around)

The reason I'm resistant to the level kit is that in the summer I tow, and don't want the ass-end sag when I'm hitched up.

Is anyone running these without a lift/level?

Mike, I have Cooper Zeon LTZ's 275/60/20 mounted on 20x8.5 MB Gunner 6's with the RC leveling kit and the RC 1.25" body lift. I did not want to have to remove mud flaps or trim/cut to make them fit. I just took off the MB's/Coopers and put the stocker 275/55/20's on for the winter and the only difference I can tell is I'm getting a little bit better MPG which will be negated by the remote start. As far as rubbing I bought level kit and then bought my MB's/275/60/20's. Hence the 1.25" boby lift.

I have Cooper Zeon LTZ 275/60/20 on stock 20X8.5 wheels with the RC leveling kit. They have never rubbed. I can't imagine they'd even rub without the level kit, lots of room.

Weel yes I was wondering if anyone is running these WITHOUT the level kit

I wouldn't run them without a leveling kit. Mine rubbed when they were new but never enough for me to trim the plastic.

If I were you I would level the front and add blocks to the rear. The best solution would be level the front and run airbags in the rear for towing.

Is that picture on your post with stock suspension and the 60's... or have you since added the level kit?

oh sorry when you mentioned "Mine rubbed when they were new but never enough for me to trim the plastic." I thought you meant at stock height. And then you added the level kit to eliminate the rubbing.

Bottom line is that with a 275/60/20 wheel/tire combo, you cannot get away without at least a leveling kit.

Stock height with a 33'' tire is going to be nothing but trouble everyday and all the time.

yeah, that's what I wanted to know.

I'll just stick with the 275/55's. Thanks all.
