1999 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD

At first I'm driving up hill push 4WD button then 5minutes later 4WD Service on then lost the indicator light on my switch dash replace fuses & new switch and actuator nothing fix service pls help??

Maybe a dumb question, but did you disconnect the battery to "reset" after the new parts were installed?

i did but for only about ten minutes do you think should i leaved it disconnect longer?

Who or what told you those components were bad? Was the fuse actually blown? I have the same truck so I am curious as to your troubleshooting procedures. Thanks!

I had same problem awhile back with 2000...went thru all the procedures,,nothing worked..finaly did the soldering trick on the switch,they apparently had very minute cracks develop at the pin solder joint, Simply briefly touched the iron to each pin,just enough to reflow the solder,,,,,have never had a problem with 4wd since
