hit and run, wheres the angry face?

i noticed this friday morning, im not sure if i got hit thursday night while at work or friday while i went to get a coffee. regardless some degenerate ass eater tagged the front of my truck and kicked the bumper in. the worst part of this entire ordeal is, i bought the truck sept 7th, broke my leg the next day, my wife drove the truck here and there with me being the passanger and ive only been driving this thing for a little over 3 weeks and now this happens. its upsetting that people would just do this and take off. and its not like they didnt feel it, the truck weighs 5600 pounds . regardless im not sure if someone backed out of their driveway and tagged me or hit me while i was at the coffee shop, parked with no cars around me and gone for two minutes. i checked the cars around where i parked and didnt see any damage to them and no paint from my truck on their vehicles. regardless im quite pissed about this, the supports on the driver side are bent as well, luckily the damage to the paint is very mild and they didnt hit the wheel or fender or light.

i know man, people are ignorant like that. i wouldnt have been as mad if they stayed and it went through insurance, but my deductable is 500 bucks, im trying to see if i can find the cover and the mounts for it somewhere cheap. ive got a buddy who manages a body shop that im gonna visit this week and hope he had maybe pull it out so its at least even again.

Are you flipping kidding??????? I was deployed for 6 months & when I came back my truck had an extra small dent with few scratches on a rear quarter panel. That was minimal since it was mostly cosmetic but your's.... DANG

people are ignorant! I've been on the oops side of the mistake before & I at least left a note with my info.

thanks man me too. and its not like someone hit it and didnt notice. its a metal bumper in a big red crew cab truck. its not a kia they nudged. that needed some force and the likely noticed themselves stopping without the brake pedal. ill find out tomorrow hopefully what im looking at to fix it or if we can even pull it out. im worried that if we pull it out and theres a crack in the chrome itll just start to rust. that big ranch hand bumper is looking more and more appealing. they can hit that all they want lol

yeah that sucks too man. i guess the next closest feeling is coming home and seeing youve been robbed. its the feeling of not being able to catch the bastard and lay a beating to them. at least yours is plastic and bounced back

its a little coffee shop without parking, i parked at the avondale across the street. its a little budget place in a small town so i have my doubts. and if they do theyre not likely good quality. ill pop in there within the next day just to be on the safe side.

 

i had a buddy price out the parts for me, 518 for the bumper, 130 for both brackets and about 3 hours labour through thte shop he works at at 55 an hour. i cant find anything used at the wreckers, if they had one it would be about 225 bucks. so were gonna try a come along and a tree this weekend hopefully. and then see if we can use a soft mallet and pop the dent out thats in there.
