Retained Acc Power

Anyone have this problem??

 

On the OGM 1....when I turn off the ignition ,, the radio stays on...as it should

 

When I open the door....it still stays on does anyone know why?

 

It only shuts down when i actually remove the key....

 

Any help would be great

I've seen this problem (sort of)....it can be a bad door lock actuator. however if it was a bad dla it wouldn't turn off at all until the 15 minutes after you took the key out was up....

 

why are you wanting to have the unit turn off with the key still in the ignition anyways?

Well.....i usually leave the key in the ignition when i leave the vehicle parked in the garage

 

No small kids around...and the garage is always locked up

 

The door system is fine...no problems there

 

Its no big deal to remove the key.....this just seems wrong.....

 

Cuz it works normally with the stock radio......iv tried

There is nothing wrong with the unit or the installation. This is the way the system works. Advent sees this as a "feature", not a problem.

 

It's great if you want to listen to music while you work on the truck - you don't have to leave the key on "ACC", but not so good if you leave the keys in the ignition in the garage for days on end.

 

Just remember to always pull the key and you won't have any issues...
