Advent Oem-style Navigation...a few questions.

Hey guys, my eyes are bugging out of my head from searching and reading posts trying to answer some of my questions, so I thoought I'd just throw them out there and see what sticks so to speak.

To start, I have a 2010 AT Sierra Crew non bose with factory bluetooth and non stock XM reciever.

1 - Will this unit retain my factory BT features and controls/mic?

2 - If I wanted to add xm to this unit, what exactly would I need? And will an aftermartket xm antenna plug into it some how?

The factory Bluetooth isn't touched when you install the Advent - it only adds to what's already there, so you would have your choice as to which one you wanted to use at any time.

How did you do a non-stock XM receiver? I'm confused.

This unit will accept the Audiovox CNP2000UC/CNPJEN1 XM receiver/cable combo (which plugs into the "S-VHS" looking cable on the back) only if you don't have the factory XM. The CNP2000UC comes with it's own antenna.

i've never heard of the newer trucks coming without XM! the Advent can use the one thats already built into the truck or you can add the one Walt mentions.

I never knew that they offered vehicles without them either......... But my truck is at the dealer for a few hours and they put me in a 2012 that doesn't have XM in it lol.
