I would put away 3 million and live off the intrest (which is 4.1% in savings accounts at my bank, don't know if thats good or not) and blow the rest . LOL

Man I can see a new shop at our place new mint still all new john deere tractors all new peterbilt trucks new implements.

And in the city I can possibly see all new fire engines (deluxe 10 man cabs 2000 gpm pumps 1000 tanks foam systems )

And in my driveway a new gmc 3500 d-max crew , a ford 6.0 crew long single wheels , a couple vettes , a diablo , a hummer limo oh man the list goes on .

I get excited thinking of all that then I remember .......

I didn't win    :(

I'd take the 130 lump sum, take 50 million and put it in investments, take another 50 to disperse amongst family and friends (hey, gotta be a nice guy about it) and take the remaining 30 and buy a new house, several (and I mean about 20) new rides that would all be customized.  Then just use what's left of that to live it up.

I'd definetly quit my job, I don't think I would drop out of my classes though.  I'd finish my degree and definetly use all of my freetime to study some more stuff.  I mean, w/ all that time I'd have I'd need some hobby to fill it.

Oh yeah, and buy a totally b*tching server for GM-Trucks.com as well as new trucks for all mods w/ GM-Trucks.com decals on them.

What would everyone had done with the money? Would you take the lump sum or annuity? What would you spend it on???

Tough question!

If you take the 29 year pay off option, it would be easier to manage the money. You may not get it all, especially if there is ever a big war.

If you take the lump pay, what the heck would you do with $170.5 million. I'm not sure how the FDIC would work on that. I'll bet every bank in the USA would be kissing major *ss to get a hold of that money.

I guess I would take the lump and go on a major shopping spree at the big boy toy store.

Id take the lump sum... I could invest it and way further the amount of 110 Million or whatever it is after taxes and all...

First thing Id do is buy some cars... Brand new Silver SRT-10 Viper, and a black Lambo Murcielago (to start with) :( ... Then Id buy my buddies some cars and we would all go on a major drive to anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go... Meanwhile, my family could be spending and enjoying all that I gave them while my house/ houses were being built!!! Id bE BaLlIn yO!!!

Yep! More than I will ever see.

I'm not sure how much he actually took home. I was just going by what msnbc was reporting. He will probably make more in interest then I will make in a lifetime. :(

Powerball winner plans few changes
