New shocks

I'm thinking of buying this kit on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....5698083  If I lifted the front 2 inches, would I need to replace the stock shocks?

If I had to guess, I would say this guy on Ebay is selling "Ford Keys" and making a ton of money at it.  I see that auction ended at $100 which is probably 2.5 times what it would cost to buy the keys from your local "Blue Oval" dealer.

 

I don't know if you would need longer shocks or not with 2" of lift, but I don't recall anyone mentioning that they were topping out their shocks when the installed new keys...

There is also another auction on Ebay for upgraded torsion cams that sell for $65.00.  Probably the same kit, except the guy who is asking $100 is too #### greedy.  I mean why pay 35% more for the same #### kit?? Go figure.

I emailed Rancho and asked them that same question before I bought a set of 9000's. Here's what they said...

 

"Thank you for your interest in Rancho products.  Since this type of setup doesn't change the range in which the suspension moves, it only gives a higher static height and actually lessens the amount of  extension travel, you normally wouldn't use a longer shock."
