MBRP Exhaust System

Installed the XP Stainless cat-back exhaust system this weekend and I LOVE IT! Had the Magnaflow on the 2009, this system is much more subdued at idle, however it wakes up when you hit the throttle. No drone at all that I have noticed, however I had the Magnaflow on for 2 years and didn't mind that either.

Fit and finish is top notch, this is just a great system. I had heard of the MBRP from the diesel guys, but the gas systems are very nice also.

PS - I have the AFM disabled, so none of that BS.

I love mine, but they do get louder over time. Mine sounds like a rusty flowmaster exhaust when its idling. Its very deep and noticable.

I love mine on my 6.0 too!

Also love mine on my 2010 5.3L...It will wake up a bit after a while, sounds great IMO, especially at start up. You may need to replace the tip MBRP sends, the one that came with my kit and the dual wall replacement they sent me both rusted. I ended up going with a GMPP tip and all is fine, no rust.

Put the same one on my 09 5.3 4 speed. I like it but I do get a drone on the highway at around 65-70. I have been meaning to call MBRP to see if they have any recommendations (I am guessing not).

 

My old truck had a flowmaster so this one is still quieter than that beast!
