Only thing I see in short supply are filters, thanks to Fram's parent company going ****** up. Places they relied heavily on Fram stock, shelves are bare. I think places like Wally are working negotiating pricing on other replacement brands before they fill their shelves with anything.

The build sheet for my truck says that it was built in the United States, which I'm hoping is true.
I've looked at other trucks where their build sheets said they were built in Mexico and when I noticed it, I made sure to steer clear of those trucks.

I just bought my truck 2 months ago, 2021 Silverado 1500 RST with the 5.3L L84 V8 and the 8L90 8-speed transmission.
It had 35,875 miles on the clock when I bought it and I'm coming up on 37,700 miles now. I traded in my 2019 Colorado with the 3.6L V-6 which also had the smaller 8 Speed transmission.
Anyway, I have a buddy of mine who has been driving Chevy Tahoes for a while & he warned me about the 6.2L V-8's and said that there is at least one class-action lawsuit against Chevy/GM, because of all of the problems and blown up 6.2L engines that are coming back to GM, while they're still well within their warranty periods.
I know the 5.3L's have some of their own issues, as do the 8 speed 8L90 transmissions, but I feel pretty confident that I've addressed most of the common, known issues.
I would be curious to hear what the dealership tells you.
I've heard some pretty horrific stories, about how GM/Chevy has been handling these 6.2L engine failures.
EDIT: I just read your response that the dealer o.k.'d an engine replacement.
Pretty amazing that they have none of these engines in stock - that's a big FAIL for GM.
Honestly, if I were in your position - I would not want another 6.2L, but that's your decision.
