Service air bag light

Maybe someone can help. 2007 New body style gmc sierra crew cab. Service air bag message came on dic. Pressed on star button the came back with code of B0084. Anyone know what needs to be replaced.

there are 4 or 5 things it could be ,,,,

 

it needs to be diagnosed by a tech ,not an average veh owner and the internet ,

 

DO NOT mess with the SRS system please

Thanks for the advice. But I think most of the people who look at sites like this are probably not just average vehicle owners. Myself I am a licensed electrician for residential and commercial spent many years as a maintenance tech troubleshooting high speed equipment with plc's and computers. So I think I can handle a little vehicle troubleshooting. But I do agree with you in terms of not just through parts at it. That can cost me more than taking it to the dealer also.

and you need a diagnostic trouble tree for the code thru any number of online service information,alldata is cheap enough and works good

 

a scanner is another problem people dont have ,,,garage time ,sorry

dont know the code, but mine came on and it turned out to be one of the front bumper sensors.
