need help with the brakes

Recommended Posts

Posted

bought a new master cylinder last week and bench bled, then installed and bled at all 4 wheels.  lines still seemed to have air in them so i bled again, and several times along a road trip to sacramento from phoenix this past weekend.

to make a long story short, when i hit the pedal, it seems to go all the way to the floor and the brake light comes on.

so i read in my chilton manual that there is something called a combination valve in the ABS system that needs to be pressed in while bleeding

ARGHHHHHHHH anybody got a line on where to get the combination valve depressor so i can get this sytstem bled

and is it supposed to come out when i press the pedal? when the pedal is depressed the valve comes out (not all the way, just like a relief valve) and when the pedal is let off, it goes back in.

TIA for any advice or info!!!!
