Getting a Dodge......

Girlfriend is trading in her leaser Ford Ranger and probably buying a used Dodge Stratus. She has to get Ford or Dodge because that is where her dad works.

I know it's going from BAD to WORSE, but it's a real good deal.

Anyone have any knowledge about the Stratus?

Kinda sucks it will sit next to my HD at night, but better than a Ford I guess.

I think the newly redesigned Stratus is a decent car ergonomically. I know a few people that have them and they really like them. Probably like most chrysler products, it won't retain it's value well, and reliabillity is yet to be known on this new model.

The biggest problem with cars like a Stratus or Malibu is that there are alot of them owned by rental companies, so the market becomes flooded in a few years with used cars driving their value down.

Thanks for the reply. I think this car may be a rental return. I haven't seen it, but she says it is a 2002 and has 16,000 miles on it. She would be getting a real good price. As far as problems with it.....I leave that to her Old Man since he is the service manager there.

Well, she ended up with a Chrysler sebring LX. Actually a pretty nice car. I am not too excited to go looking for the oil filter yet. I can't even get under this thing.

Anyhow, it's a 2002 Sebring LX auto with a 200 HP 2.7L V6. Not too shabby for a Daimler product.
