2004 F-150 info (FWIW)....  From Car & Driver:

>New 3V 5.4 Triton - - 300 hp @ 5000 rpm, 365 ft/lb torque @ 3750 rpm

>NO V-6 will be offered (just the 4.6L @ 231 hp and the 3V 5.4L)

>Max tow rating (F-150) - - 9500 lbs.

>Added weight to typical F-150 - - 500 lbs (more toys = more weight)

>New "drive by wire" throttle technology

>NO regular cab offered ( "regular cab" gets addtl two rear-swinging doors to access a storage space of about 13 inches behind the front seats).

>4 speed auto only auto offered, rack & pinion steering standard, 4 wheel abs disc brakes standard

>Still ugly as #### styling inside and out.... (actually not in the article, but hey, my opinion).

Just food for thought.  Sounds like them furd boys wont be able to flame our chevvies for making "all that HP in the high rpm range".

I am sure this has been posted before, but these were actually the first "hard" numbers on HP/TQ that I had seen.

Hopefully us Ford guys will get the I6 we have wanted for so long one day.  Ford's last I6 was a great engine, it is a shame that Ford dropped it as an engine option for the F-150 in 96.
