Anybody have Mickey Thompson tires?

I am thinking about getting some Mickey Thompson Radial MTX tires. I haven't seen anyone on the site who is running Mickey Thompson and I haven't been able to much info. Are they good or bad? I do some off-roading, mainly on the beach, and occaisionally I'll ride through some mud.

Let me know what you guys think?

I don't own a set, but I have read several magazine reviews of the Baja Radial MTX. All the article said the MTX was a very good all-terrian tire and better than most AT's in the mud. I understand the Baja Claws and Radial Baja Claws are also good tires. I have owned two sets of the Baja Belted tires and wouldn't recommend them for a daily driver. They are very loud, wear quickly and get louder with every mile.

I have them and think they are great! In the sand dunes, they have great traction. I have not tried them in the mud though. I particularly liked the look of the tread design. If you look real close, the knobs are different sizes, and alternate in groups ( can't remember the count). When I first got them , a friend pointed out the front tire had different size lugs than the rear. Then we realized they vary in size around the tire.

Best part,... not many people run them, so they are unique. Go fo it!

:thumb:  Thanks BgBlkAvalanche! Tires look great on your truck. I am supposed to get them put on Friday afternoon. It's supposed to snow here friday so I might have to wait. I'll get some pics posted after I get the tires on.

Beware,... I was not real impressed with them in the snow! I had them on for one day last winter, ... the first snow fall, so it was the warm-slippery type snow/slush. After wiping out a mail box, in a turn, I went home and put my stock tires/wheels on for the rest of the season.

I should be alright. I live in south eastern VA and it hardly ever snows here and when it does it's barely a one or two day event before the roads are all clear. Thanks for the heads up though.

Had them on my truck for about 3+- years. they wore well, i got about 40,000 mile outta them.  they were a good tire when i had them and i'm not complaining at all. the reason i went with BFG this time was i've never had them before and wanted to try something different.  I love the BFG's hardly any slipping in the snow.  and we've had snow on the ground for about a month now.  haven't gtten try them out in the mud though.
