Isimple compatibility

I recently sold my 07 Tahoe and bought a 2012 Malibu. I removed the isimple gateway and tried to install it in the Malibu but it doesn't recognize the interface. The radio looks the same. Did something change to make these different from the 2007? I assumed it would work and the unit worked fine when I removed it. Anyone else have this problem or know of a reason why it won't work?

Ok thanks. I guess I'll have to see if they have an updated version. Seems most new vehicles have the USB built in. Maybe best to locate a different radio.
