I have 2 NEW take off GM# 20934593 Silverado USB CD radio head units. Still has the plastic on the face plates. These have the USB port in the back so you can add a USB connector to your console, glove box, ac outlet, dash ect. $100 + shipping each ......... If I cant get $100 out of these here I will list them on ebay. Trying to help some fellow board members out here before I do. GM list price is $317 and are $228 on GM parts giant. I know this is becoming a popular mod with the pre USB radio guys on here so you can have USB function with iphones and retain steering wheel controls.

*** FYI these are VIN locked as are all 07 and up radios and will have to be programmed to your ECM by a dealer with a tech 2. Please pardon me for not mentioning this in the original post as I assumed this was common knowledge but I was wrong as pointed out below. Thanks

Yes. My friend used a dealer it cost just over 100$. Some dealers just don't know and say its not possible it is though. There might be other places that can do it but where I am there is not.

I'm assuming from what I've read that these will have to be vin unlocked and flashed to work in my truck?

Yes they are vin locked with your ECM ....... Not sure what tanked_darren is talking about maybe he has some for sale and felt the need to hijack the tread and tell something he had no idea what he was talking about???? #smh

Anyway I have I had 2 different GM radios programmed into my truck. Simple process go down to your GM dealer and they will program it to your ECM with a tech 2 scanner. My dealer charged me $25 ........ FYI I have heard a couple of people say their dealer did it for free esp if you bought the truck from them and I have also heard of around $30 - $40 ....... Just call them and ask what they charge its a simple 10-20 min process. Thanks

I didn't jack your thread your 25$ amount to have this programmed, sounds improbable. 30 to 40 maybe if you know somebody. Don't put false info out here.

It costed my friend roughly 120 and it took 3 dealers here in BC to find one that knew how to do it. It was his purchasing dealer out of town that knew how. Maybe you can find a dealer that charges by the minute. Most charge by the hour.

I post truthful experiences here I didn't make it up.

If you want to shaft somebody go on craigslist.

Sorry man I just don't want to see someone buy a radio and be like "what the heck I gotta get this programmed".

Shaft somebody craigslist ?????? really ???? I told the man to call his dealer and ask what it cost .....does that sound like someone who is trying to shaft anyone??? and please tell me where where I tried to deceive anyone by selling them a locked radio??? If it took your friend three dealers to program a factory GM radio that had no issues then they are almost as huge of a tool as you are by not giving me a chance to answer the man....... then you could have stepped in and played hall monitor later if that was the case! Please stay off my thread its clear they are all vin locked as are all newer GM radios and that anyone can call their dealer before purchase and check pricing at THEIR dealer be it $25 or $10,000

No name calling! Dealer programming can get pricey if you don't have a "friend". A dealer wanted $120 to do it. I have had programming done multiple times.

That being said. Cut out the petty crap. Both of you and drop it. $100 to me is a bit much for a factory radio because I can get an aftermarket one with USB for that. But its your sale.

Yes there are other charges associated with this radio even for a self install. There is the programming fee and the USB cord price at minimum. The amounts will vary on where you live and how elaborate you want to get with the USB.

I tell you what just go ahead and lock the thread and I will put them on ebay and forget trying to sell them on the forum. I figured minus selling fees on ebay with a straight up paypal transaction here it might be a win win for both parties involved but I see I was wrong. As for you not seeing $100 for a new radio that sells for three times that through a dealer or new parts wholesaler I am just at a lose over that one. Guess we should all rip our factory ones out and get a walmart special. My point is if there is a market for them and people pay for them I thought thats what this particular part of the forum was for.... once again I guess I was wrong. Not sure why anyone would chime in on someones thread and tell them what they think something is worth. To prove my point I will post links below to sold auctions and then tell me the price was out of wack or you dont see why anyone would pay that. So go ahead lock this thread and kick me off the forum if thats what floats your boat cause I wont be back again for anything. Unbelievable!

FYI these all SOLD on ebay not what somebody was asking

Whoa buddy I told you 100 was a good deal I just wanted uninformed members to know a programming charge is involved in this. But you seem to be raging. I was posting helpful info for potential buyers. There are people who would have bought and been surprised by the programming requirement.

Maybe if you use eBay you'll find customers, here you would too. People love factory look. But, like buying a dash cluster, or anything that requires a dealer program, I feel they should be informed, its what makes this forum great.

I can't justify myself paying $100 for it because well I hate stock. To each their own it is worth it to others I'm sure. There are people who want everything stock in their truck.

  • 2 weeks later...

I said they would require unlocking potentially. I was looking out for the best interest of potential buyers. I know if I bought a radio and I didn't know it had to be unlocked I would be pissed if I had to pay more money just so it worked.

You tried to make it sound like its not a big deal like some dealers charge a few bucks for it when some dealers actually charge an hour labor for this.
