you have 3 yrs 60K KM bumper to bumper warranty from delivery date

replace whole leaf spring assembly ,no messin around with that ,,,,,replace U bolts and nuts also ,,,,if you are doing it ,,,torque nuts properly,,,if you dont feel comfortable enough doing this job,,,,farm it out

You may come through this computer and try to get me but I feel the job was done correctly,so here is what I did,I went to my local GM dealer and asked some questions as I felt the spring shoulden't have broken,I'm pretty careful with my truck, they told me that it was a fairly comen problem and that a lot have broken, then they proceded to tell me that they order aftermarket springs to replace the broken middle spring(which has 2 retainer clips instead of the factory 1 retainer) and have never had one come back broken. So I bought 2 center leaf springs and replaced one on each side, new center bolts, new U bolts,me and my mechanic did the job in 3hrs,also installed my 1" front lift at the same time, everything works great.Sorry but I saw no sense in replacing the main leaf spring or the overload, they were in perfect condition and I proably could have gotten away with reusing the U bolts, they came off verry easy and no rust
