and now for a chevy vs. ford story....

This is a long story, but here it goes...

At school, one of my friends had recently gotten his licence and started driving to school. About a year before that when he got his learners permit, he also bought a jacked up ford f350 with the 6.9 diesel, and because of that, was always joking about how ford is better...

When he started driving, he was having problems with the charging system and glowplugs This meant every afternoon after school let out, he would need someone to jump him. Either I or another kid that also drives a chevy would jump him.

So one day, he thought he had fixed his problems and proceded to once again run his batteries dead. So as usual, I pulled my truck along side of him to jump it. He was not in the best of humor that day since the day before he slid off the road with his truck and fell in a ditch and supposedly hurt his neck to the point of possibly needing surgery.

(I also forgot to mention the fact that they have been adding on to the school I go to and therefore there is a lot of truck traffic...)

So, we are standing there and waiting for the batteries to charge as a dumptruck goes by. All of a sudden, the door on the dumptruck flies open while it is still moving, the driver leans out and yells, "WHAT'S THAT!?!? A CHEVY JUMPING A FORD!?!?!" as he starts laughing and drives away...

Needless to say, I have never heard a bad thing about chevys from that kid ever since then.... :thumb:

#### yeah, that reminds me of when my alternator was going out on my FORD bronco. I started driving home, my truck died on me so I called a friend to jump it for me(we were on the side of the road and yes I got a pic) he had a GMC jimmy s15 4x4. Anyway, he jumped me and decided to follow me home. He ended up jumping my truck about five times before I actually made it home! The Bronco is the reason I am now a GM person...2 trannies in a year and a half, 2 coils in a month, no serviceable fuel filter(the fuel filter was located in a reservoir on the frame rail, Haynes manual said the reservoir was unserviceable :jester: ) And several other things  . Anyway, everywhere that bronco was towed I made sure a GM was towing her, figured she might act right from the embarrassement, it never learned. Never did get any GM-ford jokes from strangers though.
